Google sign-in

Google is currently the only supported account sign-in method. When you choose Sign in with Google, authentication is handled through Google and Supabase Auth. We may receive basic account information made available by Google, such as your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile image.

We use this information to authenticate you, create your player profile, associate saved progress with your account, and support account-based multiplayer features. We do not receive your Google password. We do not sell Google account data or use it for unrelated advertising profiles.

Game progress and player data

If you sign in, Cosmic Memory may store level progress, best completion times, selected settings, player identity, game-session history, and other gameplay records needed to provide cloud persistence. Some game state may also remain in browser local storage so the game can load quickly and continue to work when network access is interrupted.

Memory and gameplay observations

Cosmic Memory may record gameplay observations such as card interactions, response times, successful or unsuccessful recalls, board positions, and session context. These records are used to operate the game, understand difficulty, and support future memory-training or adaptive-gameplay features. They are not medical records and the game does not provide medical diagnosis.

Online multiplayer and chat

Online play may store match participants, scores, turns, game state, invite information, and messages sent through match chat. Other participants in the same match may see your chosen player name, score, gameplay actions, and messages.

AI features

AI game modes may send board state, game history, and chat text to an AI service so the opponent can choose moves or reply. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personal information in AI chat.

Advertising and third parties

Cosmic Memory may display advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses, and similar technologies to serve and measure ads in accordance with their own policies. You can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage and may use cookies for authentication sessions, player settings, local progress, security, and other essential functionality. Clearing browser storage can remove device-local data, but signed-in cloud data may remain.

Data retention and deletion

We retain account and gameplay data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, debug, and improve Cosmic Memory. Reports submitted through AI or multiplayer safety tools may include a short content excerpt and gameplay context for review. Signed-in players can permanently delete their account and associated cloud game data from the account deletion page. If you cannot sign in, contact us using the details below.

Security

We use access controls and account-based authorization intended to restrict player data to the appropriate authenticated user or match participants. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we aim to use reasonable technical safeguards.

Children

Cosmic Memory is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Cosmic Memory develops. The date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
